I am Tom Hotte and I have made the decision to run for the county commissioner position in District 5. I am committed to making a positive impact for all residents. With my extensive background in managing large facilities and organizations facing complex issues, I have honed the ability to identify and implement changes that truly matter. Given the current state of affairs in this county, my experience is a valuable and much-needed asset.

Some of my goals to make Marion County better:

•              Play a key role in managing growth by enhancing infrastructure to ensure better and safer living conditions.

•              Prioritize safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of all residents.

•              Find ways to reduce our financial requirements while enhancing the quality of life.

•              Advocate for adequate staffing in our schools, fire departments, and police agencies to meet the needs of our residents. It is essential to achieve this in the most financially responsible manner possible. Our community deserves to be the most educated and safest in the region.  

•              In favor of establishing and supporting a horse council in the renowned horse capital of the world. It is time to unite various equestrian disciplines to ensure inclusivity, representation, and enjoyment for all in Marion County.

•              Promote the formation of an alliance among our 55+ communities to protect their rights, as they constitute a significant portion of our population.

 Things cannot continue as they have been under the current BOCC. My candidacy is the first step to reclaim our county for ALL residents, not special interests. I ask for your support and to join me on this journey to provide the best possible representation. I am committed to listening to your needs, not telling you what you need. I will work tirelessly on your behalf, striving to make Marion County a beautiful place for both current and future generations. Together, we can bring about the necessary changes to plan effectively for today and secure a bright, healthy, and safe future filled with prosperity and preservation for our residents and our beloved county.
